What we collect

Information you provide

Spacian can be used without providing your name or email. The app creates an anonymous Firebase account for synchronization, and you may optionally link it with Sign in with Apple. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to share (such as your email and message).

Information we collect automatically

• Usage analytics such as screens viewed, taps, website page views, coarse country/route counters, and search terms (trimmed) to improve the app and website.
• Crash diagnostics and performance logs to fix bugs and maintain stability.
• Device and app details such as device model, OS version, app version, and language.
• Push notification token and a device identifier to deliver alerts.
• Followed items and notification preferences, stored locally and synced to support alerts.
• An anonymous account identifier, linked-device records, app settings, exclusions, and recent search history when synchronization is enabled.
• A private calendar-feed credential if you create a tracked-missions calendar. This credential is never included in analytics.

Information from third parties

We receive purchase status and transaction evidence from Apple or Google when you buy or restore Premium. Spacian verifies that evidence on the server and does not place purchase tokens in analytics. We also display launch and event data from trusted space industry sources. When you open external links, you are subject to those providers' privacy practices.

How we use your data

• Deliver launch and event alerts you choose to follow.
• Sync your followed items and notification preferences across devices.
• Improve features, quality, and reliability through analytics and crash reports.
• Provide customer support when you reach out to us.

How we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help operate Spacian or when required by law.

• Apple: processes in-app purchases and manages subscription billing.
• Google Play: processes Android purchases and manages subscription billing.
• Firebase (Google): analytics, crash diagnostics, push messaging, and data hosting.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting and delivery of our services and website.

Data storage and retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Disconnecting a device removes its server-side push registration; deleting your account removes synchronized account state and linked-device records. Revoking a private calendar disables that credential. Uninstalling removes local data, but you should use the in-app disconnect or account-deletion controls if you also want server-side records removed. Analytics and crash data are retained for a limited period to track aggregate trends and improve stability.

Your choices

• Disable notifications in iOS, Android, or browser settings to stop alerts on that device.
• Clear followed items and recoverable cached content from the Spacian Profile screen.
• Disconnect the current installation, revoke a private calendar, or permanently delete synchronized account data from Profile.
• Uninstall the app to remove local data.
• Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Children

Spacian is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date.
