One mission or a changing schedule
“Add to calendar” on a mission downloads one calendar entry. It is a snapshot. For an updating schedule, add one of the feed URLs below as a subscription in your calendar application. Opening a feed as an import can create a one-time copy instead.
Subscription addresses
| Method | Later schedule changes | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Single mission .ics import | Does not automatically update | A one-time copy you manage yourself |
| Subscribe by feed URL | Arrives when your calendar refreshes | A changing launch schedule |
| Follow in Spacian for iPhone | App reminders and schedule-change alerts, according to your settings | Following a mission near launch day |
Google Calendar on a computer
- Copy one of the public HTTPS subscription addresses below.
- Open Google Calendar in a computer web browser and sign in to the Google account you use on your devices.
- Beside Other calendars, select +, then From URL.
- Paste the feed address and select Add calendar.
- Check the new calendar under Other calendars. On your phone, use the same Google account and enable that calendar in the app’s calendar list.
New URL subscriptions are added through the computer website, not the Google Calendar mobile app. Importing a downloaded .ics file creates a snapshot instead.
Apple Calendar on iPhone
- Copy the HTTPS feed address you want to follow.
- Open Calendar and tap Calendars, then Add Calendar.
- Choose Add Subscription Calendar and paste the feed URL.
- Tap Find, review the calendar details, then add or subscribe as prompted.
- Check that the subscription is selected in your Calendars list.
Labels can differ by iOS version. Use a subscription for updates; opening an individual mission file can create a one-time event.
Apple Calendar on Mac
- Open Calendar and choose File → New Calendar Subscription.
- Paste the public feed URL and choose Subscribe.
- Choose a name, color and account location. Choose iCloud when you want the subscription available on devices using that account.
- Choose an available auto-refresh interval and finish with OK.
- Confirm that the subscription is checked in the calendar sidebar.
The subscription is read-only. The selected account and refresh settings affect where and when you see changes.
Outlook.com and Outlook on the web
- Sign in and open Calendar.
- Choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web.
- Paste the HTTPS feed address and choose a calendar name if requested.
- Choose Import or Import and Save, according to the interface shown.
- Check that the subscribed calendar is enabled in your calendar list.
Choose Subscribe from web, not Upload from file. Microsoft notes that subscription updates can take more than 24 hours; a subscription is not a launch-day alert.
If a launch is missing or a date looks old
- The date changed on Spacian but not in my calendar
- Confirm that you subscribed by URL. A file import is a snapshot. Check the calendar’s refresh settings and compare the live mission page; the calendar provider controls refresh timing.
- The feed opens as a download
- Copy the HTTPS address into the calendar’s URL subscription field instead of opening the downloaded file.
- A mission does not appear
- Month-only or undated targets are omitted until a usable day is published. Day-only targets appear as all-day entries labelled time pending. Check your feed selection and whether the calendar is enabled.
- I see duplicate missions
- Check whether you both imported a file and subscribed to a feed, or subscribed to overlapping feeds. Remove the duplicate connection in your calendar app.
- The launch appears on a different day
- Timed entries use UTC instants and display in your calendar’s timezone. An event near midnight can fall on a different local day. Day-only entries remain all-day.
- I changed my saved selection
- A selection subscription contains the mission IDs selected when its link was created. Create a new subscription link after adding or removing saved missions; the existing selected missions can still receive target updates.
Check the mission page before launch day. A calendar subscription cannot guarantee an instant last-minute update.
