Triangulum
Triangulum, or M33, is a comparatively face-on spiral in the Local Group. Hubble’s 54-field mosaic resolves nearly 25 million stars within the surveyed area. Prominent nurseries include NGC 604, where Webb images reveal cavities and filaments shaped by massive young stars. Visible, near-infrared and mid-infrared observations connect the distribution of young stars with the gas, dust and feedback that organise their birth environments.
